SoTerm is a free MUD/Telnet client for Microsoft Windows. It has colour support, and some DEC VT support (see the technical specifications section of the manual for more details).

Tips

Some tips on using SoTerm:

• You can right-click in SoTerm's window to active the popup menu
• You can open many configuration files at the same time, with each running in its own copy of SoTerm
• SoTerm Configuration Files (.SoT files) can be opened in SoTerm in many different ways:
  
  • Drag the file onto the SoTerm.exe file (or a shortcut to the file)
  • Run SoTerm, and drag the file onto the window
  • Run SoTerm, right-click in the window to bring up the menu, and choose "Open..."
  • Run SoTerm, and press Ctrl-O

Storms of Time

Storms of Time is a MUD that works well with SoTerm. You can visit their website at http://www.stormsoftime.com.

To connect to Storms of Time, install SoTerm, and then open the file called "Storms of Time Default Configuration.SoT" file. If you are more familiar with the PuTTY look-and-feel, you can open "Storms of Time Default Configuration (PuTTY).SoT".

You can also click here to connect to Storms of Time, if you have a registered Telnet application, like SoTerm, installed and correctly configured.
